Dalia Bankauskaitė

Dalia Bankauskaitė was awarded a Bachelor degree at Vilnius University (Lithuania), and a Master degree at the LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science, UK). She also graduated from the LSE postgraduate course and received a Diploma in International Relations. She holds the EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration) from the Baltic Management Institute (HEC Paris, Copenhagen Business School, Louvain Management School, Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration).
Dalia Bankauskaitė currently holds the position of Advisor to the European Affairs Committee of the Seimas (Parliament) of the Republic of Lithuania. Ms Bankauskaitė headed the EU Public Information Unit under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania for six years when the country was preparing for its accession to the EU. Prior to that she worked as an information officer in the Delegation of the European Commission in Vilnius, while from 2004 to 2007 she as an expert who provided assistance to the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the latter’s preparation for its  EU negotiations. She was also engaged in designing and implementing an integrated communications strategy for the EU Structural Funds in Lithuania. In 2007–2009 Ms Bankauskaitė worked as Managing Director for the EU culture program Vilnius - European Capital of Culture 2009.
