Institute of International Relations ant Political Science of Vilnius University together with Embassy of Japan in Vilnius invite to the lecture by professor of Keio University Motohiro Tsuchiya "Japan's Response to Cyber Threats" which will take place September 19 (Monday), 10 a.m., room 402.

This talk will review famous cyber incidents in East Asia and consider possible ways to defend us and to contribute to the peace and security of Asia Pacific region.

IIRPS students and professors took part in the seminar „State formation in Belarus and Lithuania: history and perspectives“

On the 24th – 25th of March master students of Eastern European and Russian studies program visited Belarusian State University where together with Lithuanian and Belarusian scientists and students attended the seminar dedicated to discuss the main issues of state formation both in Lithuanian and Belarus. The seminar was organized by the initiative of Embassy of Lithuania in Minsk. The next day students also met the representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Belarusian Republic, Belarus Ministry of Defense, EU delegation to Minsk, visited the Belarusian Association of Journalists.

Such educational study trips are supplementary part of Easter European and Russian studies which aims to provide students with first hand experience related to the topics being discussed in the master program.

Letter of Support for the Central European University (CEU)

Number of alumni of Institute of International Relations and political science in Vilnius university (IIRPS VU) have become Central Europeans University alumni. IIRPS VU stands with CEU.

While many internauts sign petitions, thousands of people have gone to the streets to protest in support of the CEU, IIRPSVU join dozens of other academic institutions, think tanks and governmental bodies from around the World, and issue our Letter of Support.
