Public Lecture by Sir Malcolm Rifkind "British Foreign Policy after Brexit"

On 14th of September at 5:00 p.m. in room 402 sir M. Rifkind who has served at the forefront of British politics for almost forty years will give a lecture of the future of British foreign policy after Brexit. This is an extraordinary opportunity to meet and discuss with a well-known British politician who was Foreign Minister and Minister of Defence as well as having served in other ministries in the governments of Margaret Thatcher and John Major. Sir M. Rifkind during his lecture will speak on the future of British foreign policy, on Britain’s future relationship with the European Union and NATO and on Britain’s relationship with the Baltic States.

Public lecture about Thanksgiving Day with the US Embassy to Lithuania

On Tuesday, November 22nd, 11:30 am the Institute will have a pleasure to welcome guests from the US Embassy to Lithuania. Mrs Althea Cawley-Murphee, the Assistant Public Affairs Officer at the embassy, will give a lecture about one of the most important holidays in the US – Thanksgiving Day!

She will talk a little about traditions and customs, but most of this lecture will be about how the story of Pilgrims and Native Americans sharing a meal 400 years ago became part of the American national identity and how they explain the origins of the United States.

Institute of International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University together with Embassy of Georgia in Vilnius, Lithuania and Georgian Institute of Politics in Tbilisi invite you all to a discussion titled “How Could We Evaluate the Georgian-Lithuanian Relations In the Context of Today‘s Politics of the European Union”.
