Project description

The purpose of the project is to improve qualifications and capacities of civil servants representing the interests of Lithuania in the EU in the areas independent of the person’s specialisation.

Project Objectives:

1. To organise training designed for improving knowledge in the EU area of civil servants representing Lithuania’s interests in the EU;

2. To organise training designed for building civil servants’ capacities relating to the representation of the interests of Lithuania in the EU;

3. To consolidate civil servants’ qualification improvement institutions.

It is planned to organize 117 lecture-series and to instruct 1200 civil servants during the implementation of the project. Instructed civil servants will be ready to join the team of the Lithuanian  EU Presidency in 2013. There are three separate programmes prepared, which concentrate on different topics and target groups: "Lithuania's European policy development process and Lithuania's European policy priorities", "EU decision-making, policy impact of legislation and negotiations" and "Impact assesment of the EU legislation".
